These are the brief notes based on what I tried to scribble along in a lecture by Ed hooks in this years International animation day.

We were there sitting in the auditorium and Ed hooks started his lecture and made his points clear by going points to point in the film, 'the iron giant'.

I hope you have seen the film. Then he (E.hooks) said, I loved The Iron giant, I liked monsters Inc and I did not like shrek. I mean what a courageous thing to say, but he did... directly say that amongst so many people?!

... so yeah he started with the intro, In the Iron giant the fisherman is fishing and some meteor falls into the stormy sea... then he sees a lighthouse as the last hope, he hopes to be rescued until the giant lighthouse turns around and those are nothing but a pair of big giant white robot eyes! he pauses: says... the character go on doing something that they are supposed to do, untill something causes them to stop them, then they overcome the hurdle... (the fisherman is doing his daily job of fishing in the sea, gets caught in a storm and sees this bizzare sight) we as human empathize with emotions in the characters, the Iron giant is a robot, he is not human(nised) yet and something about emotions leading to action... he said... acting for actors and acting for animators is very different as actors need to feel and do right there, right then on the stage, while the animator can pause the action at any frame and ask...

WHAT IS THE CHARACTER DOING?

I mean yeah he is scratching his head or stumbling but that's not what he is doing... that is his behaviour, what is the emotion/purpose that is driving the character?

WHAT MAKES A GOOD STORY?

now we skip to the next clip where hogarth is trying to pursue his mother to keep a tiny squirrel, he leans on the counter on the cafe where his mom works and plays on one of the stools, the round ones, you know the one at the bars which rotate, he said, see how he's playing on the stools?

well what is this character doing?>he's trying to pursue his mother to keep the squirell >he's playing on the stool, nagging his mother to keep the squirrel: that's his behaviour, not what he is doing... (I hope you get my explanation.. lol)

ADRENALINE MOMENT:

Now this was very useful for me... when mom finally agrees to see the squirell that hogarth has brought, he realises that the squirel has escaped the box, he frantically searches everwhere until he spots it right there running away under one of the tables, crawling he reaches the table where a man is reading a newspaper, he calls the man again and again, and when he removes the paper, the man is sleeping with his head back and sunglasses.. pauses... see now.. how this has so much information squeezed into a single frame?we can see this person is tired, maybe lives alone, is a roaming person etc etc... (I forgot)cont. hogarth talks to the man, while the squirel crawls into the man's pants.. biting his lips and squinching he cannot take it anymore... he gets up and turns his back to the camera... unzips his pants! the squirel jumps out, and the whole room goes ooooh!you have to see the scene man, I can't descibe it... brrr

anyway here he pauses and says.. this is the adrenaline moment, it is something that the characters will never forget, the mom will remember it as the day when her son brought in the squirell, the boy will remember it as the day when how the squirrel he brought in the other day caused a havoc in the cafe, the man will remember it as the day when a kid's squirrel got into his pants and the people of the cafe will remember it as the day when a squirell went up and man's pants and then he had to unzip it in order to get it out and caused a large havoc in the cafe... etc

it was such an amazing shot... you have to watch Iron giant again and the and then read this crappy explanation.. that shot was an assembly of adrenaline moments!

The MAH:

Another important thing he described was the concept of ''mah'' or what I thought it was called. Once an interviewer questioned Hayao miyazaki,

''What was the difference between the western animators and ghibli animators?''

and in reply he clapped his hands (I thought.. yeah, how typical of genuis people, they always do things that we don't understand) then after a pause he said, in Japan, we have an actual name for the space between the sound of claps, the Japanese animators also used the 'mah' or the space in animation, western animators think they have to make continuous noise to tell a story or fear that the moment they stop making the noise, the audience is going to get up and walk away, but it is the space that adds essence to the story, when the space is added in the right amount in the right place, it can work wonders, great musician know that as much as the notes are important to make music, so does the space between them, increasing or decreasing the amount can make a huge change

On ACTING: Acting is not hiding.. acting in a story is exposing, little by little as the story proceeds the nature of the character, the true nature of the character is revealed in a crisis. (Like a dignified villian etc)

There are many more points that escaped me during the session, thousand apologies for that, as my pen could not keep up with his lesson, I wish I could record it, but I tried to recall most of it... :D

the thing is .. things have been so busy (lazy) around me that I couldn't gather any spirit to write about anything, I may have lost the knack for writing. If I had one in the first place

If I divided the short film into parts/scenes they form three main parts, the intro, the waiting, the climax and the conclusion, of all of them, the most difficult part (according to me) was the one which has the essence or climax of the story. Starting with the principle of starting with the ''difficultiest'' and saving tasty bits later on.. I started on with it.

CORPORATE Rat race - hahahah

The rat race was a common term in IT sector and other corporate systems until it slowly corrupted the animation and the animators too, the meaning of this term can be summed up something like this:

Imagine yourself in an endless, self defeating and ponitless pursuit of life. Like the futile effort of a lab rat trying to escape whilst running around a maze or in a wheel, In the modern city, many rats in a single maze expend a lot of effort running around, but ultimately achieve nothing (meaningful) either collectively or individually.

It suddenly dawned on me, that slowly I was too being affected by this mentality until I happened to talk to a friend of mine, his subtle talks woke me up, hopefully I can again animate without hurting myself further...

The pointless pursuit of being/trying to be the best means a lot of sacrifice of personal life, the professional strengths become the personal weakness, it is like a virus infecting groups, people, families and nations... once you are caught you are constantly gripped be fear, self doubt and insecurity...

Animation as being a creative field, there is no such thing as a ''legendary animator'' or a ''best animator'' most of the creative talent is lost because they just want to be the best, or else they'll quit... if only the best birds sang .. the forest would be a completely bland place!

This mentality had took hold of me and thank God, I realised last night when I was meditating before sleeping...

Think before you move and take out some time to reflect on your life and passion
Enjoy animating!

3D animation:The Indian scenario.

Just when everyone in the 3D industry is looking with hopeful eyes towards the infinite sky of animation, are we forgetting the actual way common people are reacting towards 3D?

The reason that I write today is one of my friends in the 3D circle happened to present a paper... he choose the subject which was ''The use of 3D in the field of technical education'' which according to me was a brilliant choice.. it has many possiblities...So, as he began with the presentation and throught it, he presented various rendered slide shows on how 3D can be applied... not much to my surprise the judges didn't get anything that he wanted to say, and questioned back to him if he was endorsing the 3D softwares! what the heck! don't these guys want to rise to the levels of what other nations are doing?

The Indian common public are not open to new options, I am suspicious if the Indian youth is intelligent at all, I mean everyone can be like Chatur/Venkat.. but who dares to be like Rancho/Ryan? And you know what I'm talking about...
I can imagine this judges being grumpy and playing with his marks on the presentation that he had spent so many sleepless nights on ...

A simple tutorial

As the title says...

Honestly.. I am bored so I tried on saving some of my jpeg work in progeress as I try to tell my technique that has made traditional painters cringe ;)
[This pose was found in the sale ad on a newspapers, newspapers are a great sources for poses]

#1 First you draw a very very rough stick figure of whatever pose that you want to try.. don't get overwhelmed by the fact that it doesn't look beautiful... [yet]

My main check points are
head- tilt position and relation to camera
shoulders- position to one another and the body
hands, legs and waist
don't worry about petty details such as muscles, body or figure in this case...
the eye line, the nose line, I also have the hairline.. :P
It also helps to run down a "center line" from the head to the legs running through the torso like the pose.

Flesh it out:
Starting with the face, neck, shoulders, torso and waist, flesh out the legs together, and lastly the hands, be rough with the fingers... for fingers, exagerate them, more feminine or more masculine.
I don't draw the legs if they are hidden but here is where the cloth comes to use.. I note all the affecting points in the cloth [here: hand, knee, folds, her curves etc.]
The mouth shape changes according to the face is up or down, try to remember the hairstyles that you saw somewhere and exagerate them :)

Position the hands and fingers properly.

Clean up:
If the extra lines are bugging you you can clean up if you want and add some details, usu I make another layer to add details, so I am not scared of ruining it .

Go WILD! experiment!

#4 Details :
Start adding details such as expression and accesories and character personality etc.. color it, and exagerate it!

Hello and welcome to this humble blog of mine.. strangers and dear ones alike... the year is about to finish and like every year.. I am here making a list of things that I learnt this year... So long 2009 with a note of changing and prosperity!

Here are a few things that I made a list of :

Be yourself
You will be surprised how much people want to be like someone else... a father figure.. an idol, friend.. etc, this always leads to struggle and dissappointment; not to mention its a rare person that loves and accepts him/herself without conditions... make your life interesting, ad originality, you are the protagonist of your own life.. you are NOT a supporting actor in someone else's mission or life.. find your own mission.

Treat people kindly:
"Judge a man's character by how he treats his juniors..."
Everyone you meet has an valuable lesson to teach you.. be willing to learn from them was once a precious advice given to me by a good friend... like wise he proved too be... people, situations... problems are all here to teach us.. we have to be here to learn from them... we should never underestimate someone because people are like eternal butterflies... constantly evolving... The universe works in mysterious ways to give what you want through people.. so never close your door to someone who might need help... he can bring a lot more into your quest.

Get up early
"Early to bed early to rise... " 'Nuff said .. and also cut the crap on the PC time.. you think you need to update your status, check your mail... reply to friends... play an online game, but you don't [on the expense of your roaming time, meeting with friends]

Keep a record
With technology flushing out our dusty brains, paper has nearly become exctinct, believe me, this article was written on paper before.. it's much more easier to think on paper!
Record everything from daily thoughts to learnings to schedule in a diary that you should go throuh whenever you get time.. you'll be amazed at your thought pattern~

Would you? can you? can't? won't? will? whatever you think you can.. is the truth for you.. for every moment in life, your thoughts are creating the destiny for you.

Fall in - and out of love properly
Hmm, I believe people are not matched in heaven.. but situations make the love possible.. so you got dumped? you had a break up? keep on looking for more because you might be actually happy that he/she dumped you...
Movies...books.. media bombard us right from the childhood about love and how is it supposed to be... then we struggle our whole lives finding true love...

P.S.
[And rather happy after seeing the 'so called' love of your life after few years in a state that you barely adore]
I'm blunt, ain't I?

Pursue your passion
Love what you do and do what you love.. no matter how hard, no matter how long it takes.. it's worthy of a goal and nothing is more fulfilling than succeeding at it.

What was and what will be is of literally virtually of no importance... as we cannot change what happened and we do not know what will happen, the only thing that has power is the now.. the present; use the present properly and you will have no regrets.

Pray
I don't know why but most of the people are "Pray-shy" once on recommending meditation to a middle aged man, he responded with, "Those things are for old people.. I'm not old" [maybe he was unconsioulsy afraid of being old..anyways] The whole world is doing it.. and it's our teaching.. and like always.. we are ignorant of this technique

Just a Cat...

It is just to me like loosing a person, and still i do not regret the time I spent with him, there is a story I'd like to share... if you have lost a pet somtime, this may make you cry...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

A death of someone who loves you..

Today I lost my furry pet to stupid, agressive dogs, who chased him in the night. I can not accept this reality that he is really gone, I feel so many emotions at a time, guilt, that I was not there when he needed me, anger for the people who think, it's just an animal, sad, lonely and crazy.
Everything I see, he has left his mark on our house, this house is not a home without him, it feels empty and unloving to me now.. Even a small hair on my clothes triggers me into another frenzy of tears, I cannot forget his now dead eyes staring into nothingness, I shouldn't have left him alone at all, when I got the news, I felt nothing and surely enough without seeing his body, my hopes rose, but once his body was recovered, it has come upon me like a heavy burden, I did not want to end it like this, not this soon!? He was merely 6 months old, born in February of this year in itself, so small, a kitten... he came like a noel to me..
He was a loyal and loving pet, to many it was a reason of amusement and surprise that he took care of his toilet business in the toilet, without any persuasion, cats may hate to bath, but he stood obidiently in the bath tub while we poured water on him. He licked my hand when I was down, I am sure he understood my emotions very well, more than humans, when I cried, he came and put his tiny furry head on my hand and closed his eyes. I cannot believe I lost him, oh, he was a precious friend and I wish this is just another nightmare which will end soon and I will get to meet my friend when I wake up, then I will hug you and never let you go, please God I have learnt my lesson, please give him back !

Whoa, so today was IAD in pune, and I just got to brush with the last two short films in the Shelley Page's "Eye candy" section, and one of my favorite movies was aired again...Dix

Dix means "ten" and it is a story of a person obssesed with a psychological behaviour that makes him think that he will get "cut" if he steps on lines of the pavements, so he just walks on the pavements, blended with a superb meeting with the psycologist and the mind of the person, I liked it

but- but even then if we find and ounce of courage to get together our spirit and get up, struggle, we can make it.

We as humans are not perfect, we make mistakes, that's what makes us human, we become mature day by day, growth is happening... but do not make the same mistake again...

Take your time to get up, but don't fear failure a bit, it can teach you many great things ... don't let anyone/anything stop you from moving in life and getting what you want , even you....

My wrist is hurting like crazy I can't stress how unergonomic conditions are at home, talking to a fellow animator, he doubted of a condition called a "carpal tunnel syndrome" CTS that is likely to damage the wrists, honestly I was scared. This is what you get for not following the disciplines but soon after found this amazing software
"Workrave" that reminds you of the breaks that you need to take, it's easy and worth it, honestly.

HOw was I supposed to get things done if something happened to my wrists?!

Wanted to try out the "looping" animation that most of the Anime use nowadays. The grass is actually only two frames of black stripes moving forward and backward, but when compared to the figure in motion it looks like in motion.
Wanted to make a nicer effect with the powerup, but flipbook has it's own restrictions and can trace only one frame.

Anyways here it is and gonna make a story around it I suppose

Yesterday I finally downloaded the renowned Norman female rig and I have to say I loved her, she was so animatable and cute,
so I tried for the first time giving her some expressions, subtler ones, and today will talk about my most favorite part :THE EYES

Eyes speak a lot about emotion, actually it's animation and body counts, but what the audience looks at is the eyes... it can tell if the character is alive or not, you can have great acting but if the eyes do not speak it's something lost.

Let me share my personal reasearch with you
Now you have heard many times that the "Eyes speak" "the truth is in the eyes" but the main problem is "How the hell are the eyes in animation supposed to speak??

There are various topics that can convey how two eyes speak (not with each other ha ha)

Darts
Darts motion (path, speed, time at each position)
Position (left right up down each corner and up)
Lids
Lids motion (speed, timing)

Ok so I bet you think I am talking brinjals but I could try to explain a bit to you..
The source of my knowledge definately goes to the FBI investigators and detective serials that I used to watch few years ago...(see nothing goes to waste)

The police use the eye, eye darts and overall body language to know if the suspect is talking about truth or not, unconsiously we too have this knowledge and retain this knowledge, so that we 'intutively' know what the person is saying.
That is why the natural defense of liars/people who don't want to let their feeling seep out is not seeing the other in the eye, Ex: if you had a crush on someone, and didn't want him/her to know, you would not look him/her in the eye because of the fear that it will give your little secret away, unfortunately the mere action of looking away confirms your crush to the other party..
Anyways

She looks sad, and thinking about something, her lids are touching her eyeballs, eyes to the right and down (dont look at the lips, those are not touched yet)

The same pose, just the position of the eyes, and the position where the upper lid meets the pupil is changed. I make the lids and the eyebrows follow the pupil because that is the way it kinda happens,

Wow 70th post? Do I talk that much? Yesterday I watched the movie 'Grave of the fireflies' again. Honestly I have trouble crying, and I do feel much stronger and better after crying..

Anyways, this movie is an anti-war movie that scapes the childhood of a brother and sister in Japan during war. It's a highly emotion packed drama that was once a novel and a true story. If anyone knows who has been under huge strain or not eaten for days, maybe after a huge shock, they are amazed that they are not crying, but suddenly some food goes in your stomach, or someone speaks sympathetically or you get some rest....BAMM!! there goes those tears, the same happened to me, near the end of the movie, I was ashamed of myself, suffocating, I ran to the toilet (thanking God that someone wasn't already there) and bawled like a crazy kid. With a salty throat and sore eyes, I returned to the movie discussion. I NEVER WROTE ANY REVIEW OF THAT MOVIE. Something had triggered the same reaction in me, I with my younger brother were under similar conditions, now every one seems to be comfortable and pretend that it's all over.. I try to do the same, but then is it that easy?

I won't spoil the story for you, but it's recommended, bet you can't watch it again, not because you didn't like it but because you can't- You can't take it again.

Finally.. Today I want to talk about something else... of my blog, about you... anyone of you, one thing I request of you today is please let me know you are there, comment today after reading this post...

Lately I have been really out of focus because of many large changes in my life and perceptions of life (my mother says, these things have been always there you are waking up)... this blog is like my dairy and a ranting place, I am amazed how some strangers decide to 'follow' my life, why? They say you're funny, you are good, you are Ok, but to tell you the truth, I can not see myself anymore, I cannot feel myself- it's like not being able to feel the taste of your own food..I feel numb but I continue to fight anyways because it is the little 'glimpse' of amazing light that you catch that keeps you going, just the reminder is enough to keep you going... the little promise that you made to yourself, and I honour this promise.

I fear of being dead, no not death, but looking around, everyone feels so dead, why? why can't they stand for their own beliefs? Why can't they fight? They stick in mobs and fear of being abandoned when they say what they wanna say, I have seen this happening to many dear people and they are so miserable because of this... It is a really simple choice, but releasing the spirits...

The world is functioning on a sick mentality

The mentality of hypocrites, and selfishness, it's strictly business, they say don't waste time, but what if we stop and see what a terrible world we have created... perhaps we can change it.

Well old days and old memories... this was our first attempt at clay animation, but due to study deadlines, we could only afford 7 days.. of which we wasted 5 days in planning... but the result was funnn...

Well what's more animating in 2 days, voice recording in the last 20 mins, we were the one and only...Clue: the snake's voice is me... and so the monkey's (me+my brother) now this is surely going to change your opinion towards me ;)

Trivia: Due to emergency of the situation, this was shot on a cellphone camera that made our hands sore and bleed, we were sitting under the table in 50 C that made the clay melt, and our tempers boiled at each other like magma.

Although I knew this concept from the start but had not really thought about it seriously... Today as I was surfing the net, looking for some videos from one of my favorite anime " Death Note" I came across a particular scene which was dubbed in several languages... Anime is dubbed in many languages all over the world. In this particular example... the character... Kira is laughing *insanely* demonically and I was amazed how it differed in acting choices of the voice actors...

We will try to see what each laugh says about it's character:

#The Original : Japanese Version

Personally my favorite, this is the most synched laugh... notice the dryness of his throat when he inhales... so psychotic. The pitch is about like a young boy (which Kira is)

Rating: Evil+insane

Kinda high pitched... seems like the 'typical' planning evil villain but that is not what the scene needs, he is insane, totally out of his frikin mind, but still this is an acting choice.

I don't usually like the English dubs but this was an exception... This laugh is totally frikkin psychopath and

the 'squeals' in between send shivers down my spine. Although this is an exceptionally emotion packed laughter, full

of energy it still misses the 'clever' or creepy+eerie feeling, it's fear does not stay in the mind, it does not linger for long.

It's just for the time we are hearing that laugh.. but the squeals are scary, a person out of his mind, laughing actually

reacts in that way... now don't ask me how I know it. (*_-)

Things that piss me off

I don't know why this post is like this, but I need to let off some steam in case I scream on somebody... there are three kind of people i hate:

#1 The people who don't return a greeting

Let's face it, everyone has problems, if a person cares enough that he keeps his problems aside and wishes somebody luck, night, or morning... that man is giving a positive part as a blessing to you, and not returning a greeting is the worst kind of ignorance and disrespect to the greeter's soul.

#2 People without passion

People without ambition or not even bothering to find their ambition irritate me, and here I am talking about the youth. so no excuses.

#3 People who insult classic movies

I literally worship classic movies, any person who think it's a waste of time to discuss about them hasn't lived his life yet ;)

#4 The negative class :Whiners Snobs Backstabbers and liars

Nearly everyone hates them, whiners don't only suck out your energy, they make you a whiner too... be careful with these people, because complaining has it's limit.

Snobs: No explanation necessary. Humbleness is the best virtue -_-

Backstabbers: The worst kind of the class, even the name sends shivers up my spine, they snuck up until they're close and 'slash' but nothing to worry about, they're usually very weak and stick to backstabbing.

Of CAkes anD PerFumes...#Spices

Well, time is much on my hands and naturally my unstoppable desire to experiment was calling me... Today, I had to learn to make an exotic kind of cake and my kind of perfume...

I hate artificial aromas and chemicals, I would rather prefer "attars" or essential oils. So to create my aroma, I had to summarize what I wanted, there are many themes to aromas... floral,spicy,woody,fruity,minty etc... I want spicy+woody for my personality.

So let's start!

Basically a perfume is a mixture of three notes or aromas

Base note

This is the aroma that stays on the longest and to be added first, usu a strong base and the foundation for the middle base. I chose clove (laung) for this note, it is known for it's healing properties with warm, woody and spicy flavor, it's intense and exotic,considered a mild aphrodisiac ;)

Middle note

This aroma stays the second longest, it is smooth, subtler and basic in nature, for this I chose vanilla, rich aroma, and also I'll smell like cookies, ice creams and chocolates which remind me of my childhood.

Top note

umm, this is the one that evaporates the fastest, that one smell that tells you that the perfume is freshly applied... I have not decided yet... rose oil? lemon oil? lavender? cinnamon? orange?oh this i so hard to choose!

and Bridges

well they bridge the notes... I don't have any.

Here is a diagram showing my crappy pyramid of aromas.

So that is why we may smell different aromas after applying the perfume, after varying degrees of time. So adding the clove oil, and vanilla for "sampling" I have left that to stand about 1 week. There are more details that I will talk about later... but the best thing about making your own perfume is you know exactly what you want, and always choose what you like the best, what evokes your personal memories and feel good moments.

Till then I may discuss with you my mum's secret to make a exotic cake ;)

#While making the batter, add a little bit of Garam masala to give it that heart warming taste and not just a sweet mushy slush

#Add dalchini and nutmeg in the batter, roasted nuts and cocoa are cool too.

Holidays: Swine Flu festival!

Hmmmph! So we are not "allowed" to attend classes till next week because of this stupid swine flu contamination! I am so bored, it is just the second day I don't know what I am going to do...

here is how I have spent my day:

1. Eradicating my cat's flea (Yea I know nothing to do)

4. Watching Anime

5. Making CAkes

6. Posting comments, updating profiles, talking silly

7. Sleeping, oh yeah a large portion of the day.

My online friends have all gone crazy and turned into whining sobs... I always wanted a curfew like thing, but this is not exciting, I wanna go out! PLeasE let this be over soooooooon !

These are the animatics for the project I am currently working on, I know there are many glitches but still I can go with more comments and suggestions B.T.W It's gonna be 3D

Animatics are *SIMPLE* 2D representation of the story that is going to be animated, it is much more like a story board except that the poses and timing of the story is more clearer (without any sound or without any foley)

12:06 am It was very late for a girl like me to be walking on the streets like that, even smallest of the noises scared me, and as if to make my worst of fears true, I saw two massive figures walking towards me through the mist... as they approached their voices grew louder and louder until I could figure out they had seen me and I was their next target.

When those two monster were near enough that I could see them, I could gauge them as the filth of the city, they scanned me like vultures... "Tell me, what a little bird like you is doing in this harsh city this night?" he came closer to have a good look. My instincts told me to run, me feet responded but a sudden jerk nearly tore my hand off, the second monster had quickly acted and clasped my wrist, I let off a terrible scream that resounded in the lonely night, again a silence, those two monsters stopped and stared at something, adjusting my eyes, I looked in that direction, someone was standing in the dark, he struck a match and lit his cigarette.

"You jerks got your way with ladies...eh?" he let a puff.
"It's none of your business pretty face, this woman is mine, wuhahahaaa"

I knew who this guy was, I was happy to see him, a new hope rose in me, "Sanji...kun..."

He shifted his eyes over to me, "Don't worry there, this will be over before you can call home... " he tossed a coin, the monsters made a dash for him, before one of them made a run to hit him, I saw a glint of metal in his hand,

"Carefooool!" I shouted, to which the idiot (Sanji) responded by staring at me...
terror rose in my heart as blood squirted out of his arm, endless streams of blood gushed from his hand.
"SHIT!"

"Now you are really starting to piss me off..." he let a puff again, this man is not normal, how could he be even standing after all that?
"Do you even know how much this Oscar de la renta COST me??" and before I could blink, he swooped the two with one kick.
"Bagaaa" he swore letting a puff and wincing at his blooshot arm.

For all of the folks out there, today was an amazing day starting with a good dose of animated films of students from all over the world, in fact brought by Shelley Page, the Global talent head, Dreamworks. Her presence was in it's own a mind boggling situation, where one's lips are sealed tight and you cannot meet the persons' eye, you sweat buckets and then you also want to ask the questions. I cannot imagine 'THIS' woman "this" particular motherly looking warm hearted woman, worked on Kung fu Panda, and everytime she comes, I am the most happiest bunny on this planet cause she carries with her this huge collection of the best films from all over the world, and then she shows it (I resist the temptation of stealing the CD's because they are no where on the internet :( so no second viewing). We had a grand time with her with my eyes starry all over her... this is great, in the end, as all the crowd had dissolved, and she started for the door, she politely thanked all the teachers and faculty for arranging this event! SuGGGGEEEEE!!! She is cool!! She turned back then and waved at all students, but I was only one looking adoringly at her and she waved me back!! (I think I managed to look stupid with grinning at the sudden attention paid to me) SuGGGEEEEE!! So humble!

I am soon going to attach a review about this event, so long!

I just happened to read the testimonials on the site of our insti, while everyone is sparkling away to success or progress or realizing their true potential, why I am the only one cringing and whining in the testimonial, I don't like that testimonial, I wish I coul'dve lied, the testimonial is so true that it needs to be private....lol

Here is mine:
"My First few months in specialization were the hardest months in Id, and they kept on getting harder, but that is a sign that I am learning....I was having doubts that can I become an animator initially, but if I've come this long, then I can surely go far, for sure!"

So lame duh!
Signs of weakness I tell you! If they had told us they were going to put it up on the website, honestly I would've hunted down the 'right' words to read, but the bare naked truth is before the world hahahaha!

Well today I'd like to share something with you dear readers one topic I never touched upon....
I have one weakness that is also my strength..
I tend to sometimes spiral deep into deep dark holes of my negativism, there seems like no hope where every stink hole is covered with giult self doubt and loneliness, where foul smell of fear lingers on each and every corner, and I tend to hide away from everyone when this happens because I have eperienced, "everybody jokes while you choke" so I am never dependant on anybody... well for now you must be wondering why this is my strength too...

Well let me tell you then something happens... destiny or not, energies channel higher and higher, I can 'see' the truth that most of the world is 'bland' and there are only few rare gem of a friends to call in crisis, then unconsciously this list is "stored" in my database...so whenever I fall I pick up something precious that stays with me, I get more clearer vision of my goals, so I like being punched right in the face by life, I proudly put to display all the wounds and bruses while I love being a soldier not a whiner, well go on life, punch me, hurt me, bruise me or break my heart, it will only fuel me more to go on, I may shed a few tears but my anger quotient is more than emotion quotient,I easily forget people.'Change' is my only calling when the limit is over, and mind you, my limit is very very large... you may think I am mean but that is the way it is. I love challenges and I am done with this one for now. ~Breathes in the air of war~ Ahh I like it.

She could well multitask, I mean look at her one day, she's like a bombshell and the other day she's like this intellectual in deep thought or discussion, I am glad to share birthday with her, I wish for my birthday that I atleast get 1% of her lovliness

What happens when you start meditating....

Some days ago, I started meditation and now it has become my favorite way of relaxation, some cool things I'd like to share with you anyways...
I did this method....

"Once upon a time, you were a Great Being, a beautiful Spirit living in total Oneness in Heaven with Mother/Father God – All That Is. You could not be angry, for there was no one to become angry with. Could not be afraid, for there was no thing more powerful than You. In fact, there was no thing, period.

One day, you went to the big Bulletin Board in the Sky, and saw that Mother/Father God – All That Is was calling for volunteers to enter into the Fields of Matter. If you volunteered, the announcement said, you should realize that upon entering the Fields of Matter, you would gradually lose your Knowledge of Oneness, finally perceiving Yourself as a totally separate entity. The memory of Heaven would fade like a dream.

But to compensate, there would be experiences in the Fields of Matter that were not available in the All. For example, in the Fields of Matter, it would be possible to watch snow swirling around a corner streetlamp on a winter's night, soundlessly wrapped in quiet calm.

"Amazing!" you remember exclaiming — for you had never experienced a thing like "quiet" or "snow" or "night" or "streetlamps." All That Is was a tapestry, a network of All Light and All Sound. Each experience was All Experience, like dancing on a tightrope that vibrated to every single Event in every possible Universe.

You kept reading.

In the Fields of Matter, the announcement continued, it would be possible to walk along the beach holding hands with a lover. To relax in a woodland clearing and listen to the chirping of birds, the rippling of water over stones that sparkled in the sunlight. The steps are as follows:

"Loving Yourself:

Spend just a few moments going into your quiet space, breathing rhythmically and letting go of outside thoughts. Relaxing.

Now, imagine yourself lying peacefully asleep in your bed. It has been a long, long journey since you first volunteered to come to Earth. You reached the furthest point away from Heaven long, long ago, and since then you have been returning home. You are dreaming about that. About returning home.

Feel yourself in bed, dreaming there. And imagine that all around you, in your room, bathed in beautiful light, are all the Great Beings who were your friends before you left Heaven. Some did not want to enter into the Fields of Matter. Some wanted to, but were not chosen. Perhaps some of these Beings are Ascended Masters with whom you have been working. At least two of them are your own Spirit Guides or Angels. Perhaps the Christ is there, as well, and Mary. Others who may be present are Babaji, Sai Baba, and one or more of the Archangels. Take time to see, sense or feel all these Great Beings around you, guarding your sleep.

One of these Great Beings is your Higher Self. This Higher Self is who you were before you began to forget Oneness — a very Great Angel indeed.

Now, leaving your body asleep, rise up in your energy body and go join the circle of Great Beings who surround you, and stand beside your Higher Self. Take time to feel, sense, and see yourself doing this.

When you have become part of the group of Great Beings in the room, look back at yourself in the bed, lying there asleep. And as you do so, realize that your Higher Self and all the other Great Beings are looking at this figure in the bed as you would look at a beloved sleeping child. Can you remember what it feels like to watch a dearly beloved child lying asleep? Realize that this is the tenderness your Higher Self is feeling for you now.

But there's more, much more. For this child of your Higher Self has grown up to become one of the Heroes of the Great Legends of Heaven. This child has been away for millions of years like a soldier off at the wars, and is now returning home. Oh, there is such pride among these Great Beings with whom you now stand, watching that other part of yourself sweetly sleeping.

They are overwhelmed at your accomplishments. Some of the Great Beings in this room where you stand have never had to try to feel love while experiencing fear, or anger, or loss. Have never tried to imagine Oneness with All That Is while feeling separate and alone. Love for them is no trick, no accomplishment at all. Love simply Is. That you have managed to return to Love despite the perception of separation is to them a miracle greater than anything you can imagine on Earth.

Others of the Great Beings who surround you have experienced duality, and they realize your amazing accomplishments. They are like sports fans at a game, excitedly involved, cheering you on. They know that, despite thousands of years of unimaginable, paralyzing fear, you have never given up. They know that, despite thousands of years of inconceivably crushing anger, you have finally understood about Love, and you have made it your polestar, guiding you home.

Realize that these Great Beings are not greater than you are. In fact, they are totally in awe of you, as we are in awe of moviestars and Olympic athletes. And they are grateful, as well. For what you have done, you have done for them. What you have done, you have done for Mother/Father God – All That Is.

Yes, you are coming home! Feel the love and pride and rejoicing of the Great Beings who have stood guard, who still stand guard over your long, long sleep, knowing now that soon, very soon, We will All be together again.

Now, blend with your Higher Self, and look at this sleeping hero that you are through the eyes of your Higher Self. Feel the pride, the love, the tenderness that your Higher Self feels for this incredibly beautiful, courageous Being who has been away so long and now is coming Home.

Return to your own body in the bed.

Now, return to yourself in present time.

Open your eyes."

Dear Diary,
Sometimes I feel honestly the sudden urge to die seriously, this puzzles of the world are so hard for me to solve, I wish I could just hang somewhere in the universe and see all people doing their daily work and lives going on about... and I am tired of being confused and hurt and undecided, hesitant and everything that I always was... I have never met a real person in my life, they just meet me with a curtain in between me and them... are there people who meet without that curtain? Never a person has looked me in the eyes and kept the gaze... except 1 but i don't know what that was... it's it's like looking in a mirror, I tell you... and looking into a bright light, like the sun, your eyes hurt like they cannot gaze into bright light, the crowd dissolves into a thin mist and there you are on your path to ultimate destruction.
Everywhere I see people in love with each other and I am so miserable not to understand how to feel it, how to tell in my heart what's going on...
And will dying end this at all? I am tired of seeing tear stained faces in mirrors covered with false humor and sarcasm, my two masks, lol. Is it me or is this the case with many? I am going to sleep now and think why I want to live... seriously...

Yesterday I came across this poster of Lalola....
La lola is a story when an playboy-"Lalo" who ditches girls turn into a beautiful girl (Lola) himself *magically* and discovers his life as a girl then on, it is very interesting to watch and really know how women are different from men, Its an Argentinean comedy that has been imitated everywhere, a philipine drama of the same name...say our hindi movie Mr. ya Miss. though the movie was unknown to many, it still existed, and I hear that a new soap is gonna start like lalola named Bhaskar bharti, this is cheap, copying stuff from world market and thinking Indian public is dumb...
And remembered how good the Firangi channel was, I really miss it, and the world class series it used to air, Dolmein, Second Chance, Lalola and others...My favorite were La lola and Second chance...I hope they air it again, in hindi, otherwise, youtube is my only shelter....

Hey! Good news folks...I got a new tabby cat, a small brown kitten, a tom cat, that is what I always wanted.
But boy it is hard training them... but after days of toilet training, how excited I was when he first pee was where I wanted... finally toilet trained, whew!
Taking a cat home is not as easy at it seems, the mess they make, trips to the vet, mewing at nights, shots! that is so painful to watch... and then comes their infamous curiosity...

BUT IT IS SO REWARDING!

So this new friend of mine resembles Garfield and so is his name...o.O
....So there are several things I'd like to tell you about him.. he is still very small, but likes to sit in front of my PC and look at my keyboard in amazement, he likes the sound of keys typing... he likes to watch AFV funny videos of cats, he watches TV and likes the Vodafone Zoozoos a lot, heheehhe mews when someone changes the channel, lol.
He also likes to type to my friends on IM, dancing on my keyboard, I wonder when he will grow into a fat young tomcat! I am learning many ways to train him now, but every morning he ends up on my forehead...demanding food...o.O

So kinda things have more of a calmed down in Indian animation, people are more aware of the careers, jobs and opportunities, but just like any other emerging fields, there are thousands of people who have already jumped into animation without realizing that they are not made for animation, and the good news is that, more people have come to know that they CAN do animation, the solution that people don't waste their time according to me is "LITERACY"
(I can see your faces exclaiming, hey moron, we're already literate...we've got a degree or whateva...)
the truth is Indian Animation Students need more literacy about animators, (I admit, even I am illiterate about some things, he he he) animation wannabies should at least try animating something on very simple programs like flash, or do something in the area of their desire, so some daring wannabies can try their hands at animation, consider if they like it, if they can do it, OR IF they WANNA do it.
